To the first dog I ever fell in love with - a big golden retriever named Chelsea - whose biggest enjoyment in life was fetching endless sticks out of the water. She passed from cancer about 25 years ago, and I still think of her often and am grateful that she was the one who taught me what it means to have unconditional love.

Boo was the sweetest dog, who died far too early because of an aggressive skin cancer. For the years of happy, healthy joy we lost with Boo and for the extra years we hope to have with dogs in the future, I pledge to stop cancer.
