STOP CANCER FUREVER PLEDGE

We adopted Sophie in May, 2004 from our regional Newfoundland breed rescue program. She was a stray, an estimated age of 3 years old. In August of 2011, she was diagnosed with cancer of the lung. We don't know if that was the primary site or if the disease had metastasized. Sophie was always a super sweet dog and never complained about a thing, not even cancer.

Thorin died of a cancerous growth in his ear. Saavik & Arwen died of GI Lymphoma. Brightheart, Stormfur & Cinderpeet were littermates who all died of GI Lymphoma. All cats were rescued off the streets at various ages, some in worse condition than some of the rest of my cats.

These three of my six kitties all passed from cancer. Tibi was 16. Wiget was 9. Simba passed on his 14th birthday.

We lost all 3 dogs--Golden Retrievers--to cancer. Not a day goes by that we don't think miss them so very much. Thank you!

We were very honored to be part of the Morris Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. Our girl died at Age 10 of hemangiosarcoma very suddenly. She was so healthy until that day. We are hopeful that the Study will find answers to this devastating disease.

Montie lost his battle with hemangiosarcoma. Kramer lost his battle with osteosarcoma.

Unfortunately, all of our beloved pets had to be put down due to various illnesses, ranging from K-9 dementia, cancer, lameness in their various stages of life. Very heartbreaking & each furbaby is missed & loved, regardless of how long ago they have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Four precious, special Golden Retrievers, all who have now crossed The Rainbow Bridge, always in our heart, always remembered.

My heart, friend and personal "Scooby Do." The 5th golden I've lost to cancer. My life was better with you by my side.

Have had several animals fall to cancer. With Jesus help we may find an answer. It hurts a lot.

Too many of our beloveds are lost to this disease.

In December 1996 our boy succumbed to a brain tumor. In January our little girl's cancer spread through her intestines. Both were gone within 2 days of diagnosis. They are both forever in our hearts.

We lost our two precious cats, Sylvia and Capuchin, to cancers this spring, three weeks apart. God bless them--and you for the research work you are doing.
