Too many beloved fur babies have had their lives cut short. Wolfgang to lymphosarcoma, Bandit to a mastcell tumor, Lady Bugg to bladder cancer, Panther, my beautiful black cat, to a type of blood cancer and Isabo died of lymphosarcoma after being diagnosed with severe arterial stenosis at 4 mos. She lived 5 years with the heart defect but cancer took her. Wolfgang's vet made a donation to Morris Animal Foundation in his name and I've been a donor ever since. Bless you for the work you do and hopefully one day we won't lose our precious babies to this terrible disease any longer.

Yankee was hero number 767. He shared an amazing life with me. He was a Breed Grand Champion, a Rally Champion, he had his UD title, and he was the most amazing Therapy Dog. He worked as a Therapy dog for the Cancer Institute in Clovis for about eight years. The Institute awarded him their Care Hero Award posthumously. He was the star of several TV news pieces. He survived cancer and meningitis, but in the end, a second cancer took him. He made many friends in his short life and provided comfort and laughter to many (especially me). If love would have kept him alive, he would have lived forever!

Histiocytic sarcoma is a diagnosis no pet owner ever wants to hear. My Bernese Mountain Dog was diagnosed with this cancer when she was only six years old. She was a warrior throughout her treatment, but she was taken from us far too soon. We miss her every day.

In April 2020, after surgery to remove a soft tissue mass, we received the news that Gunny had cancer, specifically myxosarcoma. He went through 19 rounds of radiation and was deemed cancer free. He went on to live almost 5 more years until he passed from complications from seizures. He was the best dog and is missed every day.
