Our Beloved Cat, Bucky
Pet Name
Our Beloved Cat, Bucky
Pledge
As a young cat, Bucky was rescued by our daughter off the streets of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He was about three when he came to live with us and our 2 other cats and two dogs. He was especially loved by his kitty brother, Zeeba. Bucky was so smart and funny and very quirky. He kept us all entertained. Even people who think they don't like cats said they wanted a cat like him. In mid-December of 2024 we noticed his belly seemed swollen. The vet drained off a lot of fluid and said it was cancer, and there was not anything to do. On December 21st we sent our dear boy to wait for us at the Rainbow Bridge. He was not yet 13 years old. We should have had more time with him. We miss him every day. XOXO We will love and remember him forever.

Pet Name
Muffy, Aspen and Charlie
Pledge
When we lost Muffy in 2008 to cancer, I promised myself that I would find an organization that was studying cancer in dogs. It took a few years but I finally found the Morris Animal Foundation and have been a monthly supporter since then. Thank you for the work that you are doing. I also appreciated the “Thank you” videos included on the End Cancer Furever donation page. It is wonderful to see the these veterinarian heroes.

Pet Name
Maya
Pledge
We lost our sweet Maya at age 4 to Hemangiosarcoma , so when Mysti was 6 months old we enrolled her in the GRLS . We are staunch supporters of the GRLS after losing Maya in 3 days .We did the surgery but clear margins were not achieved and it was determined that hemangiosarcoma had returned and we had to say good bye. We were gutted because she spent the last 3 days of her life in a strange vet hospital without her family around her. I was able to hold her as we said goodbye with her family present but she deserved better. WE have to find a cause and a cure and we will fight till the last GRLS hero is gone and hopefully until a cause and a cure is found.

As a veterinarian, it is truly heartbreaking that the nicest dogs are genetically prone to early death. I will do everything in my power to help cancer research in dogs.
