We took our lovely 18 y.o. cat to a "specialist of cancer" after our wonderful vet suspected liver Ca. The specialist, after a day of tests, declared she had NO cancer. Our sweety died of liver Ca 4 weeks later. Better ways to diagnose & treat Ca is desperately needed. Money help for those who need help.

Many Core cats, but especially "Smoky" (and Betty White, my hero)
Pledge
I have had many cats in my 26 years, especially since I moved from Calif. to Tenn. 30 years ago. They passed from various health problems, but the one who stands out forever is Smoky. For 2 years I took food to her up to the Smoky Mts. until a friend helped me catch her. She was a beautiful long haired tortoise shell cat. Thinking I'd vet her & find a home was soon crushed when the vet told me she was 10 yrs old & I knew people didn't adopt cats over 5 yrs. old. So Smoky stayed with me for another 10 years. One day I noticed her drooling a lot & my vet sadly told me she had a cancer under her tongue. It doubled in size within 3 days. No matter how she tried she couldn't eat. The day I said good bye to her she was playing with a peacock feather, as if she was healthy & happy. It broke my heart.
