FCoV-23 is a newly identified feline coronavirus associated with a large and uncontrolled outbreak of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). A patient-side test is needed to screen cats for exposure to FCoV-23. This will help prevent the spread of FCoV-23 and will identify clinically silent infections. The team will develop an inexpensive and rapid test that is performed patient-side to allow early identification of cats that are or have been infected with FCoV-23.
