Lady and Maccabee

Pet Name
Lady and Maccabee
Pledge
We rescued 1 yr-old Lady (black and tan German Shepard) from a home in which she was abused. With us, she had love, joy, play, toys, treats, and fun along with her best buddy Maccabee (miniature poodle). When Lady was diagnosed with cancer at 11 yrs-old, we got her treatment, and she fought like a champion to keep her life. Very sadly, we lost Lady to pneumonia subject to the cancer later that year. While we have our memories to comfort us, we now miss both Lady and Maccabee greatly!

Human Noise Negatively Impacts Cricket Survival, Reproduction

MEDIA ALERT: DENVER/May 2, 2024 – As the sun sets and the sweltering heat gives way to a balmy evening, there's one sound that fills the air, both beloved and bothersome: the rhythmic symphony of chirping crickets. However, human-generated noise can mask the harmony of the cricket song, prompting researchers to question if it is also drowning out the melody.
